What we do
The churches of the Minnesota Annual Conference collectively participate in ministries of compassion, justice, mercy, and peace—locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Together, we:
- work hands-on through Volunteers in Mission
- participate in disaster relief through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
- financially support missionaries and mission projects worldwide through general church apportionments, the Advance, and covenant relationships
- partner with various conferences, local schools, and other organizations to increase our impact
- give special offerings six Sundays each year and contribute to an annual Love Offering each spring, both of which fund mission work
- train leaders and volunteers for disaster response and other work teams, and offer them financial assistance
- advocate and work for justice for women (Commission on the Status and Role of Women—COSROW), Native Americans (Committee on Native American Ministry—CONAM), and ethnic minorities (Commission on Religion and Race—CORR)
- work for peace and justice through the Board of Church and Society and the Palestine-Israel Justice Project
