Date of death: Friday, March 11, 2016, at age 98

Arrangements: A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m., Monday, March 21, at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church (511 Groveland Ave., Minneapolis). A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Grover was ordained as a deacon in 1944 and as an elder in 1945. He served Minnesota churches in Minneapolis, Clarissa, Eagle Bend, Freeman Creek, Bertha, Moran, Beardsley, Browns Valley, Coleraine, Grand Rapids, Hokah, Aitkin, Pine Lake, Duluth, and Dodge Center. He retired in 1982.

Rhoda Mary Grover is survived by her children, Phillip, Tim (Linda), Elizabeth "Libby" (Phillip) Klang, Stephen (Betsy); 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Eugene F. Grover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, designated to the Minnesota United Methodist Board of Pensions, or to Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church.
