Arrangements: A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 29 at Trinity UMC (609 Taylor St., Port Townsend, WA 98368). The service will be live streamed at trinityumcpt.org and archived on the church website.

Appointment information: Rev. Ankeny was ordained as a deacon in 1968 and as an elder in 1971. He served United Methodist churches in Wisconsin before serving Minnesota churches in Champlin, Brooklyn Park (Riverview), and Mounds View. He also served as a missionary in Belize and was appointed to Ocean Park Camp and Retreat Center in Washington. He retired in 1996 and continued to serve churches in Washington until 2012.

Rev. Ankeny is survived by his wife, Laurel Ankeny; his daughters, Wanda Klietz, Jody Wahl, Becky Percy, and Lori Limmer; stepsons Chris Fischer and Keith Lindquist; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
