Arrangements: A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2016 at Hubbard United Methodist Church (12150 Broadway Road, Hubbard, MN 56470). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Hume was ordained as a deacon in 1958 and as an elder in 1961. He served several churches in Kansas before moving to Minnesota in 1962. In Minnesota, he served churches in Arlington, Wadena, Minneapolis, Aurora, Hoyt Lakes, Pipestone, and Motley, and also spent several years at Camp Kingswood. He retired in 1996.

Rev. Hume is survived by his wife, Vida; children, David (Jean) Hume, Margaret Seimson, and Linda Hume (Richard Barton); four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
