Date of death: June 11, 2021 at age 80

Arrangements: There will be a celebration of life at Star Lake Camp (10992 Star Lake Camp Dr., Pequot Lakes) on Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. It will be an outdoor service, with a time of fellowship to follow. 

Appointment information: Rev. Hoeft was ordained as a deacon in 1963 and as an elder in 1966. He served Minnesota churches in Deer River, St. Paul (Hamline UMC), Inver Grove Heights (Mount Bethel UMC), Alexandria, Burnsville (River Hills UMC), and Fergus Falls (Church of Peace UMC). He also served as the director of nurture on the Minnesota Conference staff. He retired in 2000.

Rev. Hoeft is survived by his wife, Barbara Hoeft; children, Carmen (Martin) Tschofen, Carson (Joelle) Hoeft, and Clifford Hoeft; and four grandchildren.
