Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. May 19, 2018 at Stewartville UMC (900 John Wesley Ave. NW, Stewartville). A visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Zimmerman was ordained as an elder in 1960. He served Minnesota churches in Pleasant Prairie, Granada, Pine River, Pequot Lakes, Perham, Dent, Richville, Slayton, Lake Wilson, and Dodge Center. He retired in 1997.

Rev. Zimmerman is preceded in death by parents, Rolland Zimmerman and Helen Zimmerman. He is survived by his siblings, Eleanor (Leo) Bernard and Donald Zimmerman; former wife, Claudia Evans; his children, Curt (Cheryl) Zimmerman, Carla (Rod) Embree, and Craig (Laura) Zimmerman; three grandchildren; former wife, Catherine Ambroz; his step-children, Jan (Pete) Omacht-Anderson and John (Carmen) Omacht; and five step-grandchildren.
