Date of death: Oct. 12, 2019 at age 85

Arrangements: A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Riverside UMC (1005 Park Ave. S, Park Rapids). A visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Hoganson was ordained as a deacon in 1960 and as an elder in 1963. He served churches in North Dakota before serving Minnesota churches in Fairfax, Franklin, Morton, Crookston, Lake Crystal, Madelia, Raymond, Rosewood, and Hector. He retired in 1997.

Rev. Hoganson is survived by his children, David, Mike, and Amy; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgina Hoganson.
