Arrangements: A visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on February 18 and 19, 2017 at Union Depot (214 4th St. E, St. Paul). A funeral will take place at 9 a.m. February 20, 2017 at Wheelock United Methodist Church (21 Wheelock Parkway E., St. Paul); the committal will follow at 2 p.m. at Park Hill Cemetery (2500 Vermilion Road).

Appointment information: Rev. Jonah S. Yang founded and served what is now Wheelock United Methodist Church in St. Paul. It was chartered in 1981 and the first Hmong United Methodist Church in the world. It began with 37 members. It continued to grow until 1990, when its membership was over 800. He served there until 1990 and retired in 1996.

Rev. Yang is survived by his wife, Mrs. Yer T. Yang, and a number of other family members.
