Appointment information: Rev. Jackson was ordained as a deacon in 1955 and as an elder in 1960. He served Minnesota churches in Le Sueur, Golden Valley, and Minneapolis (Hennepin Avenue UMC). He also served as the director of the United Methodist Foundation of New Mexico before retiring in 1997.

Rev. Jackson is survived by his sons, Stephen (Karen Larson) Jackson and Thomas (Kim) Jackson; five grandchildren; and his sisters, Vivian Skoog and Joan Ripple. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Shirk) Jackson.
