Arrangements: A celebration of life will take place Monday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at Elk River UMC (1304 Main St., Elk River). 

Appointment information: Rev. Ottensmann was ordained as a deacon in 1990 and as an elder in 1994. She served at Harron UMC in Brooklyn Center. She retired in 1998.

Rev. Ottensmann is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Peggy Harding, Michael (Elke) Ottensmann, and Lynn (Greg) Cottingham; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Gail Wendt, and grandchild, Barron James Cottingham.
