Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at Hennepin Avenue UMC (511 Groveland Ave., Minneapolis). A visitation will take place at the church one hour before the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Hanson served in the United Church of Christ denomination before serving United Methodist churches in Minneapolis (Trinity UMC and Hennepin Avenue UMC). He retired in 1995.

Rev. Hanson is survived by his wife, Nancy P. Hanson; their children, Tim (Joan) Hanson, Mark (Elena) Hanson, and Karen (Andrew) Riebel; his sister, Jean Hanson; and six granddchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Hennepin Avenue UMC or the Groveland Food Shelf.
