Arrangements: A memorial service will be held March 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Aurora, Illinois. The service will be live streamed on the church's YouTube page.
Appointment information: Rev. Fauntie Wilcoxon was licensed as a local pastor in 2004 and served Minnesota churches in Money Creek, Ridgeway, and Witoka. She retired in 2007.
Rev. Clair Wilcoxon was ordained as a deacon in 1957 and as an elder in 1960. He served churches in South Dakota before serving in the Minnesota Conference (at Richfield UMC in Minneapolis). He went on to serve churches in Costa Rica, Argentina, and the Florida Conference. He also worked as a librarian, psychiatric social worker, and professor at seminaries and universities in Minnesota and Florida. He retired in 1986. He later returned to Minnesota to serve churches in Money Creek, Ridgeway, and Witoka.
Rev. Fauntie Wilcoxon was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clair Wilcoxon, and son, Steve Wilcoxon. She is survived by her children, Scot (Patty Engle) and Sandra (Bill DuPree); three grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Forsythe.
