Relationship to conference: Retired elder

Date of death: June 13, 2020 at age 88

Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at Hennepin Avenue UMC in Minneapolis at a later date.

Appointment information: Rev. Haberman was ordained as a deacon in 1956 and as an elder in 1958. He served Minnesota churches in Akeley, Park Rapids, Ortonville, Kabetogama, Woodbury, and Burnsville. He was the first chairperson of the Palestine-Israel Justice Project. He retired in 1993.

Rev. Haberman is survived by his sons, Craig, Mark, John, and Mike; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Emily, and a sister, Rev. Joyce Maxine Haberman, who was also an elder in the Minnesota Conference.

Memorials are preferred to Hennepin Avenue UMC or Ring Lake Ranch, Dubois, WY

An obituary will be published in the Star Tribune at a later date.
