Appointment information: Rev. Nosek was ordained as a deacon in 1972 and as an elder in 1975. He served Minnesota churches in Bloomington (Hillcrest UMC), Duluth (Chester Park, now First UMC), Osakis, Villard, Blue Earth, Olivia, Bird Island, New Ulm (First UMC), Lake Crystal, Madelia, Faribault (Fourth Avenue UMC), Danube, Redwood Falls (Middle Creek UMC), and Renville. He retired in 2016.

Rev. Nosek is survived by seven of his children, Jeremiah Nosek, Serah (Nosek) Blain, Josiah Nosek, Jerusha Nosek, Anah Nosek, Jon Nosek, and Michael Nosek; eight grandchildren; brother, (Wallace) Joseph Nosek; and sister, Darlene (Nosek) Bushey. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Alethia Nosek, and his parents, Wallace Nosek and Mabel (Dryden) Nosek.
