Date of death: March 23, 2022 at age 83

Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held at First UMC of Fort Collins, Colorado on April 19 at 11 a.m. MDT. The service will be live streamed for those wishing to attend from out of state. 

Appointment information: Rev. Christie was ordained as a deacon in 1964 and as an elder in 1972. He served Minnesota churches in Minneapolis (Calvary UMC), St. Paul (Olivet, Central Park, and St. John's UMCs), Morristown (Peace and Blooming Grove UMCs), Faribault (Fourth Avenue UMC), Prior Lake, South St. Paul (First UMC), and Mounds View. He retired in 2002.

Rev. Christie is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Wenona (Thorsten) and Heather; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert, Donald, and Richard Christie.
