Arrangements: A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, 511 Groveland Ave., Minneapolis.

Appointment information: Rev. Warren A. Nyberg was ordained as a deacon in 1945 and as an elder in 1946. He served Minnesota churches in Montevideo, Brooklyn Center, Red Wing, Minneapolis, Austin, and Excelsior. He retired in 1986.

Virginia Nyberg is survived by her daughter, Marsha Smith; granddaughter, Dawn Smith; three great-granddaughters; seven great-great grandchildren; step-children, Lyle (Kathy) Nyberg, Polly (John) Carlisi, Janet (Manny) Paraschos, and Pam (Kenn) Kiesner; seven step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, G. Robert Smith, who died in 1987, her second husband, the Rev. Warren A. Nyberg, and her son, Mark Smith.
