Arrangements: A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Centennial United Methodist Church (1524 W. County Road C2, Roseville). Clergy are asked to sing "For All the Saints" for the final hymn, sit throughout the sanctuary, and not robe for the service. A luncheon will take place afterward. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Roseville Memorial Chapel (2245 Hamline Ave. N., Roseville).
Appointment information: Rev. Christianson was ordained as a deacon in 1952 and as an elder in 1953. He served Minnesota churches in Long Prairie, Clotho, Bemidji, St. Paul, and Golden Valley. Rev. Christianson also served the Minnesota Annual Conference as conference council director and a district superintendent. He retired in 1991.
Rev. Lyle T. Christianson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anne; children, Rev. Diane Christianson (John Tolson), David Christianson (Kate Winsor), Janet Johnson (Gary), and Paul Christianson (Laura Smith); and eight grandchildren.
Memorials preferred to Lyle and Dorothy Anne Christianson Scholarship Fund at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, Northern Pines Camp in Park Rapids, and Hamline University.
