Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 24, at Fridley United Methodist Church (680 Mississippi St. N.E., Fridley, MN 55432). A visitation will take place at the church at 10 a.m.

Appointment information: Rev. Ralph B. Shoemaker was ordained as an elder in 1953. He served Minnesota churches in Duluth, Rosemount, New Ulm, Bloomington, Columbia Heights, and Mahtomedi. He retired in 1979. After retirement he served churches part-time in Coon Rapids, New Prague, and Fridley.

Rev. Shoemaker is survived by his children, Rebecca (John) Lake and Janet (Randall) Warren; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl, and his son, Thomas.
