Arrangements: A funeral service will take place at noon on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Pine Island United Methodist Church (200 N. Main St., Pine Island). Prior to the service, the family will host a calling hour beginning at 11 a.m. at the church.

Appointment information: Rev. Rick Ormsby was ordained as a deacon in 1966 and as an elder in 1969. He served in the New Hampshire Conference before coming to the Minnesota Conference in the late 1970s. In Minnesota, he served churches in Dexter, Brownsdale, Grand Meadow, Pine Island, and Faribault; he also served as the Southeast District (now River Valley District) superintendent from 1994-2001. He retired in 2006.

Rae Ormsby is survived by her husband, Rev. Rick Ormsby of Pine Island; son, Gabe Ormsby (Heidi Eschenbacher), daughter Rebekah Ormsby (David Lofquist), and grandchildren Isaac and Alma, all of whom live in Minneapolis.
