Arrangements: A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 5, at Fairmont United Methodist Church (119 E. 2nd St., Fairmont, MN 56031). A visitation will take place an hour before the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Gordon A. Patterson was ordained as a deacon in 1947 and as an elder in 1949. He served as an administrator for the Lakeview United Methodist Home—and he also served Minnesota churches in Grenada and Ceylon. He retired in 1980.

Rev. Patterson is survived by his children, Roger Patterson (Margie), Gary Patterson (Yolanda), Bruce Patterson (Nancy), Kay Burdick (Ken), Janet Kovalchik (Bud), and Young Sook Wagner; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; step-children Jim Fortuna, Carlos Fortuna, Craig Swapp, Rob Fortuna (Elaine), Lilie Wenzel (Charlie), and Nolita Nelson (Wade); 10 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Patterson, his second wife Rosemarie Patterson, and his step-son Franco Fortuna.
