Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 19, at Centennial United Methodist Church (1524 County Road C-2 W., Roseville). Visitation will take place at the church that same day, from 10 to 11 a.m., just prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Clarence R. Nicholas was ordained as a deacon in 1943 and as an elder in 1944. He served in Illinois before coming to Minnesota in 1947. In Minnesota, he served churches in Farmington, Rosemount, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Fairmont, and Roseville. He also served as district superintendent for the Central and Metroeast districts. He retired in 1984.

Rev. Nicholas is survived by his wife, Jean Workman Nicholas; children, Douglas (Gladys), Ronald (Dorothy), Susan (Don Drackert), and Paul (Karen Heine); 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
