Date of death: February 23, 2017, at age 80

Arrangements: A memorial service will take place in Arizona, where the couple was spending the winter, on March 2, 2017. A second memorial service will be held in Minnesota at a later date.

Appointment information: Rev. Almquist was ordained as a deacon in 1975 and as an elder in 1977. He served Minnesota churches in St. Francis, Cedar, Wyoming, Moose Lake, Barnum, Jackson, Lake City, Zumbro Falls, and Staples. He retired in 2001.

Maxine Almquist is survived by her husband, Rev. Daniel P. Almquist; children, DanniLe (Mort) Stephens and Scott (Michelle) Almquist; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Isabelle; sisters, Beverly and Marilyn; and brother, Fred.
