Date of death: Saturday, January 30, 2016, at age 93

Arrangements: A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 6, at Messiah United Methodist Church, 17805 County Rd. 6, Plymouth. A visitation will take place from 3-6 p.m., Friday, February 5, at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 W. 50th St., Edina, and at 9 a.m. at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Woodward was ordained as a deacon in 1949 and as an elder in 1950. He served Minnesota congregations in Stillwater, Columbia Heights, and Mound. He served hospitals in Rochester and St. Paul. He retired in 1981. In 1995, Rev. Woodward became pastor emeritus of Messiah United Methodist Church (Plymouth), where he remained involved until his death.

Mary Louise 'Mary Lou' (Stork) Woodward is survived by children, Ruth Anna (Van) Miller, Martha (Pat) Ryan, and Woody Woodward; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Donald B. Woodward.

Memorials preferred to the Rockford Historical Society (Ames-Florida-Stork House) and Messiah United Methodist Church.
