Date of death: June 5, 2018 at age 84

Arrangements: A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 14 at Fridsborg Cemetery in East Bethel. A lunch will follow the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Almquist was ordained as a deacon in 1964 and as an elder in 1967. He served United Methodist churches in Mabel, Newburg, Becker, Clearwater, Clear Lake, Buffalo Lake, Stewartville, Sumner Center, Herman, Chokio, Deer River, and Big Falls. He retired in 1995.
