Date of death: May 27, 2019 at age 91

Arrangements: A graveside service for the family will be held in Mankato in June. 

Appointment information: Rev. Toews was ordained as a deacon in 1952 and as an elder in 1953. He served Minnesota churches in Spring Valley and Osseo. He also served as a chaplain at University Hospital of Ann Arbor, Michigan and as the director of chaplain services at Rochester Methodist Hospital. He retired in 1989.

Mrs. Toews is survived by her second husband, Ron Andersen; children, Jeanne Carter and Annette Toews; one grandson; and two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rev. Alquinn Toews; and son, Richard Toews.

Cards of condolence can be sent to Ron Andersen, 1714 Lakeview Dr. SW, Rochester, MN 55902. Memorial gifts can be sent to him as well, and will be donated to a charity of the family's choice.
