Arrangements: A wake will take place Sunday, November 15, from 4-6 p.m. at the Morris-Nilsen Funeral Chapel (6527 Portland Ave S., Richfield). A celebration of life service will take place Monday, November 16, at 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church of Peace (6345 Xerxes Ave. S., Richfield, MN 55423). A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Jakway was ordained as a deacon in 1952 and as an elder in 1953. He served Minnesota congregations in Henning, Deer Creek, St. Paul, Lamberton, Sanborn, Hastings, Hibbing, and Richfield. He retired in 1988.

Margaret "Peggy" Jakway is survived by her son, Charles H. Jakway III (Terri Williams-Jakway), and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
