Arrangements: A service was held at Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, Arizona on Sept. 3.

Appointment information: Rev. Blons was ordained as a deacon in 1977 and as an elder in 1979. She served Minnesota churches in Rochester (Evangel UMC), Wyoming, and Golden Valley. She retired in 1992.

Mr. Barker was a professor at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities for three decades.

Mr. Barker is survived by his second wife, Gail Barker; her children, Mark Fitzsimmons (Jane Fontana) and Karen Chung (Dr. Mark Chung); stepson, Rev. Adam Blons (Megan Voorhees); and three grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Valley Presbyterian Church, United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, or the Parkinson's Foundation.
