Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Richfield UMC (5835 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis). Light refreshments will follow the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Fithian was ordained as a deacon in 1988 and as an elder in 1990. She served Minnesota churches in St. Paul (Central Park), Plymouth, and Minneapolis (Hobart). She retired in 1999.

Mr. Fithian is survived by his wife; three daughters, Lauren Fithian, Leslie Fithian, and Allison Fithian-Ruby; a special daughter, April; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Richfield UMC (5835 Lyndale Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN 55419) or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
