Date of death: Nov. 20, 2017 at age 91

Arrangements: Memorial services were held Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25 in Mora.

Appointment information: Rev. Gotschall was a local pastor beginning in 1955 before being ordained as a deacon in 1968 and as an elder in 1971. He served Minnesota churches in Akeley, Hubbard, Long Prairie, Clotho, Appleton, Milan, St. Paul, Mora, and Ogilvie. He retired in 1982. He continued to serve as a long term interim pastor after retirement. 

Mrs. Gotschall is preceded in death by her husband; her sons, Bobby and Steven; her parents, Ethel and Nicoly; her brother, Neland; and foster sister Lela. She is survived by her children, David (Kathie) Hertz, Kit Clasen, Nancy (Wade) Rastall, Deanna (Bryan) Gotschall Gorsegner, Marilyn Mutchler, William (Judy) Gotschall, Bob Gotschall; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials sent to the family will be divided among the Mora UMC Memorial Fund, Mora UMC Camp Scholarships, and the Mora Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund. If you prefer, memorials may be sent directly to Mora UMC (500 Clark St., Mora, MN 55051).
