Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. August 19 at Lake Harriet UMC (4901 Chowen Ave S., Minneapolis). A visitation will take place at the church from 12:30 to 2 p.m. before the service. Light refreshments will follow the service.

Appointment information: Rev. Beck was ordained as a deacon in 1950 and as an elder in 1951. He served Minnesota churches in Minneapolis (Oxboro-Bloomington Ferry and Lake Harriet), Raymond, St. Paul (Christ Dayton's Bluff), and St. Cloud (First). He retired in 1987. Following his retirement, he served as director of church relations at Hamline University, a position he held until 1992.

Mrs. Beck is survived by her children, Peter K. Beck (Kathryn Ryan), Martha C. Beck, Sarah B. Garrett (Jack); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Memorials are preferred to the Beck Family Scholarship at Hamline University.
