Relationship to conference: Wife of retired elder, Donald L. Germain

Date of death: Oct. 21, 2021 at age 86

Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Wayzata Community Church (125 Wayzata Blvd. E, Wayzata). A visitation will take place on Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the David Lee Funeral Home (1220 Wayzata Blvd. E, Wayzata).

Appointment information: Rev. Germain was ordained as a deacon in 1955 and as an elder in 1957. He served Minnesota churches in Finlayson, North Branch, Cambridge, Coon Rapids, Rochester, Mound, and Grand Rapids. He also served churches in Colorado. In addition, he served as the director of youth ministry and the director of nurture for the Minnsota Conference. At Hamline University in St. Paul, he served as church liaison, associate campaign director, and the assistant to the president for church relations. He retired in 1994.

Mrs. Germain is survived by her husband, Donald Germain; her children, Michael (Kathy Burns) and Candace (Terry McGinn); and two grandchildren.
