It was a tale of May, mothers, muffins, and other treasures! Thief River Falls United Methodist Church raised over $1,400 for Imagine No Malaria ministries during May.

Sunday, May 5, featured a "Muffins for Malaria" fellowship. Attendees were encouraged to gather after worship for delicious muffins, and a freewill offering was collected in honor of the mothers in Africa who bravely deal with malaria in their families. Simultaneously, the congregation was giving financial gifts to this program in honor or memory of their mothers and other nurturing women in their lives.  The list of memorials and tributes was printed in the worship bulletin on Mother's Day.

That same week the congregation hosted a rummage sale, with proceeds earmarked for Imagine No Malaria.  Each shopper received a bright prayer card lifting a delightful African child and the quest to eliminate malaria. The sale was listed in the "Change the World" projects being lifted through ReThink Church.
