Urban CROSS service camp by Mounds Park United Methodist Church in St. Paul was successful again this year. The camp took place during the week of June 10-16.

The theme was “Let the Light Shine!” Campers completed some 51 projects on thirty houses--over 1,044 hours of work was completed!

Five churches were involved representing 54 campers: 42 youth and 12 adults. Of the 54, 24 were only with us on Monday--they came from a church in South Dakota. The camp was truly multi-cultural.

There were nine major community sponsors. Over 70 people from Mounds Park Church and the Dayton’s Bluff Community served in a variety of supportive ways from food preparation to prayer partners to project supervisors.
