Gethsemane United Methodist Church in Lino Lakes hosted a cribbage tournament on March 15 to benefit Emma Norton Services.

Funds were raised through donations for lunch or a $5 fee to play in the tournament. More than 40 people of all ages attended the light lunch, and 21 of them registered to play in the double-elimination cribbage tournament. One-third of those players were from the local area and had heard about the event through friends at the church or in the local papers. Those who didn't want to play cribbage chose a variety of other fun board games. This event was a great way to involve people of all ages, with participants ranging in age from 1 to 80-plus.

This is a win-win-win event; through it, the church built community, reached new people, and supported a worthy cause!
