The Hennepin County Office to End Homelessness & Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative present this event as part of Richfield UMC's Social Justice Speaker Series.

We know how homeless people are portrayed, but who are the homeless in reality? This overview will answer our questions and help us find ways to engage and help.

  • What are the barriers for homeless people?
  • How can a person who is working still be homeless?
  • Why are there homeless people?
  • Are there solutions? What are they?
  • What is bus riding about?
  • Who are they? What do the demographics say?
  • What about legal complications (i.e. felonies...) ?
  • Where do the homeless people go?
  • Where do the homeless people spend their nights?
  • What about kids in this situation?
