We hope you’ll join us for an enchanted evening of Scandinavian folk music as Minnesota favorite Tjärnblom performs at Prospect Park United Methodist Church, Saturday, November 16 at 7 p.m. Tjärnblom travels a modern "Snoose Boulevard Highway" with a repertoire of both old and new Swedish, Finnish, and Minnesota tunes featuring a unique blend of nyckelharpa, mandolin, cello and harmonium. It’s sure to be a fun evening for the entire family!
There is no admission fee, with the evening’s freewill offering supporting the student enrichment programs at Pratt Community School, located adjacent to the church in the Minneapolis Prospect Park neighborhood. We’re honored to partner with the staff and faculty at Pratt to help provide learning and growth opportunities for our young people! Over the past nine years, the PPUMC Community Concert Series has contributed nearly $60,000 to a variety of community service programs and organizations across the Twin Cities.
It’s a perfect combination – enjoying great music and raising money for a worthwhile cause! A delicious dessert buffet follows the concert, with free parking available on-street and at Pratt School. PPUMC is located at 22 Orlin Ave. SE in Minneapolis, at the foot of the historic Prospect Park Water Tower, one block south of University Ave. on Malcolm Ave. and adjacent to the Metro Transit Green Line.
