Join Dr. Alisha Vincent, associate professor of Nonprofit Administration at Dakota Wesleyan University, to learn more about the purpose and process of good governance.

Part One: The Purpose of Good Governance

In part one, Dr. Vincent will focus on the purpose of governance. She will articulate the differences between governance and mission and how those are lived out in the life of the church. She will review the positives and pitfalls of simplified governance structures and briefly review tips for navigating changes to governance systems.
 
Part Two: The Process of Good Governance

In part two, Dr. Vincent will provide tips and resources to foster adaptive governance structures and offer some advice on making simple adjustments that can help improve processes. Topics will include the role of the chair as champion, fostering effective relationship between governance and mission, and leading effective meetings.
