With growing concern over the devastation from all forms of addiction, including the ever-increasing opioid crisis, and now the added challenge of a worldwide pandemic, the Center of Addiction & Faith presents the 2022 Addiction & Faith Conference
to raise awareness about the terrible addiction problem we face and how the church and people of faith can help to address it.
The 2022 conference will focus on the correlation between addiction and trauma. Trauma increases the risk of developing substance abuse, and substance abuse increases the likelihood of being re-traumatized by engaging in high-risk behavior. It is also true that individuals who are abusing drugs or alcohol are less able to cope with traumatic events.
We have assembled top internationally-known speakers to inspire and educate attendees to deal with this terrible problem going forward. Breakout sessions will teach attendees how you and your faith community can become a life saving haven for those struggling with addiction, and their loved ones.
