Organist and Accompanist

Messiah UMC in Plymouth is seeking a part-time organist to provide music for traditional worship services. This west suburban church worships over 500. The organist will start immediately for traditional worship. Responsibilities include selection of hymns/music appropriate for the liturgical season and supporting worship themes. Accompaniment of the Wednesday evening choir rehearsal, soloists, availability for weddings and funerals (additional compensation), and collaboration with choir director required. The proficient player will serve 10 hours/week and oversee the maintenance of organ and sanctuary piano. We are excited to have a brand new Allen GENISYS-APEX GX350 Organ with antiphonal speakers.
