Guitar Instructors

The Simpson Center for Servant Ministry and Iglesia Piedra Viva seek two guitar instructors to teach beginning and intermediate guitar to groups of two to six students, ages 7 to adult, for 13 weeks beginning February 16 (including a recital), Saturdays, 3-6 p.m.

Group classes are held in 50 minute increments between 3 and 6 p.m. Classes are held at Simpson UMC, 2740 First Avenue South, Minneapolis. Remuneration includes an hourly stipend. 

Instruction is in English, generally.

Duties:

  • Teach beginning guitar to groups of between 2 and 6 students
  • Follow curriculum
  • Prepare students for end of semester recital
  • Attend and help with recital
  • Participate in meeting

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in guitar playing
  • Skillful at teaching/instructing students, including children and adults
  • Must pass a background check

Compensation:
Depends on experience
