Audio Technician

The audio technician, under the supervision of the lead pastor, is responsible for sound mixing, sound set-up, equipment maintenance, and tech team leadership. This role is part-time (estimated at 4 hours/ week).

Statement of Reconciliation
Peace United Methodist Church is a place of peace for all that choose to enter the doors.   • Provide weekly sound and stage set-up prior to Sunday morning services
  • Mix and record audio during Sunday morning services
  • Tear-down stage and sound at conclusion of Sunday morning services
  • Prepare stage and sound for renters when needed
  • Gain knowledge of and gain ability to use other equipment in church building for special events
Equipment Maintenance
  • Ensure that current technology is maintained at a high standard
  • Personally repair malfunctioning equipment when possible
  • Provide repair options and cost estimates to the lead pastor when personal repair is not possible
Team Leadership
  • Recruit and train volunteers
  • Provide a positive working environment
  • Give constructive and consistent feedback


  • Previous experience in sound mixing
  • Must possess good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must be motivated to seek training as necessary
