published 7/25/2023

Start: August 2023

The United Methodist Church of Anoka is working hard to develop a culture of engaging every church member in the ministries so we might be as effective as possible in making disciples of Jesus Christ and bringing hope to the community! “Discipleship” includes engaging followers of Jesus in a variety of ways, providing opportunities for learning and serving others, and teaching and empowering followers how to invite others to do the same.

We are especially interested in providing dynamic and exciting ministries and opportunities to engage kids and families and people across generations.  The person in this position will begin with a particular focus on ministries with kids and families, and assess the effectiveness of ministries already being offered in other areas and with adults of all ages, while helping to "pull it all together" alongside the pastor and other staff.  Experience in and an affinity for Christian Education may be helpful, a passion for engaging the neighborhood and community will be important, and an openness to innovate and try new things will be invited and welcomed!
