Community Coordinator

As Uptown Church in Minneapolis continues to grow and develop into the next phase of church expression, we are looking for an individual passionate about coordinating volunteers and staff at Uptown Church. We are searching for a person that loves connecting with people while organizing the needs of our community. This position’s primary focus is to oversee all volunteer and personnel coordination at Uptown Church and ensure needs are addressed accordingly. This individual is responsible for growing, developing, and overseeing our volunteer base. This individual is also responsible for the scheduling, communication and coordination of all volunteers and staff.


  • Organize all church volunteers and staff roles for Sunday services and other Uptown Church events.
  • Schedule musicians on a rotating basis to lead Sunday morning worship.
  • Build a community of volunteers through group and one on one meetings.
  • Oversee scheduling and volunteer communication tools.
  • Implement rhythms that ensure volunteers are cared for and appreciated.
  • Liaison between lead pastor and rotating worship leaders.


  • Growing love for God and a desire to share that with others.
  • A desire to see others connected to God through active roles within the community.
  • Administrative and detailed oriented.
  • Technology proficiency (Planning Center, Google Suite, Social Media, etc.)
  • Ability to coordinate groups of people.
  • Willing to make Uptown Church their church home.
