The director of children’s activities is responsible for overseeing the entire children’s ministry, from birth through fifth grade.
Bethel UMC's aim is to ensure a smoothly operating, safe and effective program. It is the desire of Bethel families to have professional childcare provided whenever group events occur. Furthermore, since faith formation begins at an early age, it is important that four-, five-, and six-year-olds are not only cared for, but also provided with age-appropriate lessons for their Christian development. The director will recruit and train leaders who will touch children’s lives with God’s love, teach them God’s Word, and provide fellowship with God’s people—laying a foundation that will keep children interested in the things of God and involved in church. Along with educating, this ministry includes involving children in the ministry of the church and giving attention to children when they visit with their families.
Applicants need to be available during worship services and major gatherings whenever childcare may be needed, mainly weekends and evenings. Desired talents or abilities include:
Starting at $15.00/hour on up, depending on experience and education
