Podcast: An inside look at the ELI Project internship

April 14, 2016

The Exploring Leadership Internship (ELI) Project, now in its second year, provides a hands-on learning experience for young adults exploring vocational ministry.

Eight young people interned in 2015, and nine were recently selected to intern in summer 2016. All interns are paid $3,000, placed within a host church for two months, and assigned a clergy mentor.

Joelle Anderson, project manager for the ELI Project, and Rev. Bill Eaves, lead pastor at United Methodist Church of Anoka and a 2015 clergy mentor, recently sat down with Director of Communications Christa Meland to talk about the internship experience—including how it works, what they learned, what the interns came away with, and why they’re excited for year two.
