Please familiarize yourself with the legislation that will be discussed and voted on at Annual Conference, as well as the reports from leaders and ministry teams and some other helpful documents. Be sure to print out or refer online to the documents you'd like to have during conference; hard copies will be available only to voting members who placed orders for purchase. Here are the materials that you're encouraged to read through before May 24:
Item 201: Conference Advance Specials: There is one change to the Conference Advance Specials list that was in the legislation packet distributed in May. Please refer to this updated version of that list.
Items 300-302: Elected, District, and Affiliate Leaders: These leaders within and related to the conference will be officially elected through separate votes at Annual Conference.
Items 401-405: 2022 Discontinuances: Five churches that plan to discontinue will come before Annual Conference members for a vote.
Disaffiliation Agreement: This agreement template, to be completed between disaffiliating churches and the conference Board of Trustees, is being shared for reference for a discussion that will take place in connection with three churches that will seek a vote to disaffiliate from the conference (those disaffiliation motions will be brought to the floor of Annual Conference).
Disaffiliation Excerpts: These disaffiliation-related excerpts from the Book of Discipline are being shared as background information.
2023 Apportionments: This spreadsheet shows two scenarios for 2023 local church apportionments: one as currently budgeted, and another that would replace it if Item 103 is approved and the half-time racial justice organizer conference staff position was to become a full-time, director-level position.
