All Minnesota United Methodists are invited to participate in a 2021 conference-wide Lenten video study. This year’s study will feature the Appointive Cabinet members from the Minnesota Conference and focus on the book “Love is the Way: Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times,” by Bishop Michael Curry. Order the book.
Every Thursday, starting on February 4, 2021, two of the book’s chapters will be covered in a video. We will also post a small group discussion guide for the week. (All of the study guides will be available here sometime the week of Jan. 18 for pre-planning purposes.)
We recommend that small groups or committees meet virtually on a weekly basis throughout Lent to discuss a different section of the book using the corresponding video. If your congregation is not organizing small groups around this study, then we invite you to ask a couple of friends to read with you and to meet virtually once a week to talk about the book and how you are putting love into action in your life.
Please join us in this study as we explore question about love such as: How do I find God’s love? Do I have to love my enemy? Can love really change the world?
