2021 Lenten Study

All Minnesota United Methodists are invited to participate in a 2021 conference-wide Lenten video study. This year’s study focuses on the book “Love is the Way: Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times,” by Bishop Michael Curry. Order the book.
 

Every Thursday, two of the book’s chapters will be covered in a video by a member of the Minnesota Appointive Cabinet. There is also a small group discussion guide for each week.

We recommend that small groups or committees meet virtually on a weekly basis throughout Lent to discuss a different section of the book using the corresponding video. If your congregation is not organizing small groups around this study, then we invite you to ask a couple of friends to read with you and to meet virtually once a week to talk about the book and how you are putting love into action in your life.

Please join us in this study as we explore question about love such as: How do I find God’s love? Do I have to love my enemy? Can love really change the world? Below are the links to all of the videos and study guides.
