Kabetogama UMC and Crane Lake Chapel (a non-denominational church), both located in the most northern part of Minnesota, teamed together this summer for a special Vacation Bible School through The Mobile Ministry.

The Mobile Ministry serves both churches throughout the year, but uses summer as a time to reach out the children and youth from the area and those who are visiting during the warmer months. The ministry contacts surrounding communities, camp grounds, resorts, and cabins to find children and youth interested in Vacation Bible School. This year, children ages 3 to 16 were involved in the program—with as many as 18 participating at the Crane Lake Chapel and 15 from Kabetogama UMC.

Both churches used the "Blast Off" program for the week. The children and youth were able to participate in Bible stories, games, and a mission outreach project for the community. The older youth were able to assist the children with lessons and games, and about eight adults volunteered to help make each program a success.
