“Coping with the Holidays: A Retreat for Grieving Parents” will occur at Koinonia on the weekend of December 8-10, 2017.

Parents who have experienced the death of a child are present in most congregations. The time between Thanksgiving and New Year’s is particularly painful for these moms and dads. So much joy in the world, so much pain in their hearts.

Koinonia Retreat Center has secured a grant from Hennepin Avenue UMC which is helping us to offer a retreat for bereaved parents. The event will be patterned after work done at Faith’s Lodge in Danbury, WI.

If you know of a parent who has experienced the death of a child at any age, recently or long ago, please inform them of this event. Registration is limited to 26 people.
