Location: Albert Lea United Methodist Church

Regular Duties:
· Maintain all bank accounts
· Reviewing all purchase vouchers and record to the corresponding account
· Pay all bills on a timely basis
· Administer Payroll:
· Ensure paychecks are processed.
· Prepare and record all monthly and quarterly payroll tax information
· Prepare and record all annual payroll tax information
· Prepare and record all Pension plan payments
· Prepare and record all Health Insurance payments
· Maintain two set of accounting books – general / designated accounts
· Preparing and reporting all financial reports for Church committees
· Setting up new financial accounts / close out old accounts
· Help prepare annual budget
· Record credit card giving
· Record weekly deposits
· Prepare monthly reports for Trustees, Finance Committee, Church Council, Director of Youth and Children’s Ministries, and others as needed
· Prepare reports as requested by the audit committee in preparation for the annual audit.
· Attend regular staff meetings additional duties assigned by Senior Pastor.

Skills and requirements:
· Working knowledge of accounting system-Quick Books
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent cross-functional communication skills
· Working knowledge of accounting and book-keeping practices
· Computer proficiency
